Christmas Countdown #2.

This is my 2nd Christmas Countdown. It is the Wreath behind
door number two.
I made and I think that it is pretty similar.
I have made a overflowing honey jar and I think that this
Wreath looks really good.

Christmas Countdown.

This is my Christmas Countdown. I have done the Wrapping paper behind door number 4. I have put in as much effort as I can and I think that I did pretty well. I did the Santa Theme.

This is my survivor Backpack It will be useful when I am out in the bush.

These two weeks I have done character model but mostly more about me. I put Ghost at the top and my pop outs and flaps down the bottom to make it look tidy. I think that this Fabulous Finish has a lot of detail, colour, potential and a overflowing honey jar. I tried to do my best because all the others were not as good as I wanted them to be. That's why I put it on black paper and made it a bit different to the other Fabulous finish's. I rate my Fabulous finish a 9/10.

Bush Survival.

Bush Survival.

• What is the S.T.O.P acronym for survival?
• Stop                                                            
• Think
• Observe 
• Plan or Proceed.                                                 

• Finding fresh Water.
• Make sure you find water that does not have any bugs or anything dirty in it so it is safe to drink.
• Boil the water over a fire so all the dirty stuff that you did not get is out
•  Make sure that you did not find the water in a big dirty puddle but try to find the water in a river.
• Or you can drink from running water it would be easier.

• Shelter
• Build away from rivers or any creaks.
• Build on a flat, dry surface.
• Make sure that your Shelter can protect you from rain and wind

• Fire
• You have to have dry wood.
• Big rocks around the wood.
• Water around the Rocks so it wont burn the grass and keep it from going outside of the              fire.

• Things to have in First aid.
• Bug repellent.
• Bandages to help with big wounds
• Plasters for little scraps that are bleeding.

• Signalling for help.
• Smoke
• Yell for help.
• Flash light three times to get attention.

CC2 T4 CS

This week I have done Digital Design for this weeks Chapter Chat but I decided to do another one that is creation station. I did not know what to do for another one but I did creation since its my favourite. So I picked Digital Design but I did Creation Station because it is one of the easiest tasks for me and I had a idea in my head what I could do. This is my drawing of Ghost and I tried to do a good job and make it  a Overflowing honey jar and "Quality not Quantity."

Task 3 Shelter Building

Today for Whetu survivor we went into our troops and built a shelter we had to make sure that we could survive a night in a bush with our shelter. Our shelter was successful but I think that we could have done better then what we have created. I think at some times we would work as a team and collaborate, but most of the time a person in my troop would take over and leave some of us out. The hardest part of our shelter building was remembering all of the stuff that we could use and do to make the shelter because at some times we would get a bit over the top and use things that we could not so I think that was the hardest part of our shelter making. But the easiest part was tying all the ropes together because we have already done the knot rotation, so it was good knowing some really tight knots to use.
   

Tent Reflection

Today we put up a tent and it was challenging because we had to follow the instructions. Our weakness was our collaboration and communication. It got tricky we had fun and  we did it and we finished the challenge.

Tent Building

This is our tent building and we also had to chose two tents that would be useful in the bush.
We have done some research and figured out how useful the Tent can be.
This is our Research:

• We can use it for gathering food in it.
• You use the tent in the NZ Bush.
• It is good when you are sleeping or eating when it is raining it wont wet you.
• We can use it for shelter.
• We can use it for sleeping.
• You can use it however if you are tired and it is really sunny.
• You can use the Tents if it is raining you can go to shelter.

W5 CC T4 Digital Design Pick 'n' Mix

This week for Chapter Chat I have done Digital Design/Pick 'n' Mix It was really fun doing this digital design because it was not like the other digital design it was fun and I was learning new things about sneaker brands and how old brands can be. Today I finished and I feel like it has a lot of effort and excellence in it. I tried to make it a overflowing honey jar and I tried to make it have a pop of colour with it to.

Bush Shelter.

For our Whetu Survivor today we have done bush Shelter I have done some research and figured out ways to survive in the bush. Here is my Research:

If you are lost in the NZ Bush and you need to find a good place not somewhere cold
or too hot because then you would be cold/hot, and not by a river cause then it might overflow
and put out your shelter.
A good shelter is probably where you can find  four trees close together so then
you could connect the shelter with the trees and then it will hold the shelter up. 

In the NZ bush there is nothing to harm you except for mosquitoes and bugs.
In your shelter you could build a net or something to catch the mosquitoes.
Or you can get a big stick of something and
crush them.

To build a Shelter in the NZ Bush you would need big branches, big stones, go to a big tree, bark,
leaves and some ferns. So then you can put the big branches in the ground then
you get the big stones and put them around the branches to secure them.
Then you can attach it to you tree. Then you can get some more sticks or
branches and connect the top of the shelter and the
branches/sticks with the tree. To secure your shelter put some bark leaves and ferns on it to
Secure your shelter.

 If you have some spear ferns, branches, leaves and sticks put it inside you shelter at
the bottom so you can have a place to sleep.

Mānuka Research

Manuka

Does it have a different name?   The word mānuka has to names one name in Aotearoa used to refer to Leptospermum scoparium. Another name for Manuka is also Tea tree.


Where to find manuka? 
 You can find it in New Zealand they are usually found on windswept crags and cliff tops.

                                                                                     

  What does Manuka look like? 
         They are basically like a Christmas tree that grows into                          a white flower.



What is one way humans can use your plant? 
We can make tea and beer out of the Manuka plant. A really good way to help with the Manuka plant is you can make medicine out of it to.

Chapter Chat Research

This week for Chapter Chat I have done Research. I wanted to do the world records because they are all weird like  my personality This has been challenging because I had to print it out and one went missing so I had to print it out again. But it was fun doing something different for Research. I have tried my hardest and I think it is a overflowing honey jar.

Chapter Chat A way with words.

This week for Chapter Chat I did A Way With Words. I gave it a go and did a amazing poem. I thought it would be cool to do A Way With Words this week and it came out pretty good. I got to admit though that it was pretty challenging to find all the words for "Ghost." It was really fun to find out what words I could use. There were a lot. I tried to make an Overflowing honey jar and make it "Quality not Quantity."

This Reef Knot is perfect for lifting thing because it has a big circle so it can hold things like wood.

This would really be good for things like carrying things like water bottles or fire wood for a campfire.

My difficult rating was 5/10.

This rope was actually easy but at the same time hard I kept mixing it up with different types of knots so it got confusing but in the end I kept repeating it and it became easy. you could use it for pulling something heavy like a chair or lifting things off the ground or something like that.

my difficult rating is 4/10 but the fun rating was 10/10.

This is my eight sided figure it was really easy when you know how to do it. It was a bit difficult at the beginning but I got used to it
 I am going to use it for outdoors situations like camping or carrying something heavy or other things like that.
My difficult rating is 2/10.

Week 2 T4 Creation Station

Chapter Chat

This week for my Chapter Chat I did Creation Station. For my Creation Station I did two shoes. One of the shoes are Ghost old pair and then the other one is his new silver ones that he stole. I added some color and I tried my best to make it a overflowing honey jar. I made the old shoes Converse and then the other new ones Nike's because a lot of converse's are high tops. A lot of people buy Nike's and because a lot of Nike's are low tops.

Calendar Art

   

 This my Calendar Art.I have done Zen tangle with my hair and coloured it rainbow.  I have put in a lot of thinking, Colour and effort. I tried to make it pop out and make it colourful and I think I did a pretty good job. The story about the art for me was that the world was black, white and depressing with alot of sadness but then the world starts to overflow with colour, happiness and joy. That's why there is some black in the hair to make it look like it use to be depressing. 

T4, W1 Chapter Chat Digital Design

This week I have done Digital Design for this weeks Chapter Chat. This week was challenging, because I was away on Monday and Tuesday. So on Wednesday I did not know what to do, so I had to go on Chapter Chat and see what activity I wanted to do. So I picked Digital Design because it is one of the easiest tasks for me and I had a idea in my head what I could do. This is my business card and I tried to do a good job and make it  a Overflowing honey jar and "Quality not Quantity."

  

My Holiday.

  For my holiday I did not really do much I watched TV I went to Thames alot and I played TTrockstars. But the best part of my holiday was moving into our new house.

 I went into my new house last week it is on a farm near Ngatea. It has three rooms, a kitchen, bathroom that has a bathtub a shower and a toilet, a piano and a fireplace.

 We are putting up our trampoline this week. We are also going to get a pool for this summer. It is a nice little home and it is perfect for me and my family we love it there and want to move there.

 It is perfect for my Mum and Dad because Dad's always wanted to live on a farm and my Mum wants to live close to Ngatea so it is perfect for my Mum and Dad. 

Fabulous Finish

This week for Fabulous Finish me and Bella did more about me. The most challenging part was doing the drawing but the easiest part was the colouring in. Me and Bella were up to the challenge though we both did either drawing, sharpie or colouring but we both wanted to do the colouring so we did last and we had turns colouring the drawings and we collaborated really well. We really thought that we gave it lots of drops of honey in the jar to make it overflow. But the last drop is always the funnest drop. I give Holes a 9/10, because I think it was amazing I just did not really like how Alya did not keep his promise to Madame Zeroni, if I broke a promise I would have been in trouble depends who it is.

This week for Chapter Chat I did Creation Station from a while ago, I did the Rec/ Wreck room. I think I have done really well. It was super hard to pick a Chapter Chat activity because I could have done anything, but I chose this one because it looked cool and different.

Chapter Chat Week 3

This week for Chapter Chat I did Research family tree. I did this individually and I tried my best. I tried to overflow my honey and make this amazing, I think I overflowed my honey jar for this week. I am starting to enjoy the book Holes, I love how Stanley's nickname is Caveman.

This week for chapter me and Madeleine did A way with words which was the letter to Stanley's mum. Me and Madeleine have tried to make an Overflowing honey jar. We have tried our hardest and we think it looks pretty good. We even put A scorpion, Rattlesnake and a yellow spotted lizard to put on the finishing touch.

Chapter Chat

This is my chapter chat for this week I did creation station, sign. I have tried my best and I tried to make an overflowing honey jar. I am loving this weeks book Holes. I like how Stanley is trying his very best to keep calm at Camp Green Lake.

Fabulous Finish.

This week we did a fabulous finish, our last week of chapter chat for this term. I have done Ally Nickerson, character model. The hardest part for me was the flaps and figuring out what I was going to do. The easiest was the fonts. They were so easy to draw and they were the funnest thing to draw. My favourite font was the one with the fire.

Biking Skills. (Thursday and Friday) Week 7

Yesterday and today we learnt a lot of safety tips, skills and tricks. We biked around the field and played some games. I learnt that you never look down when you are biking only if you need to. I found it really tricky when you had to take your left hand off the bike for five seconds, because I am right handed. We also had to try and stay onto a fire hose that was on the field. We also tried to high five him.

Chapter Chat (Free Choice)

This week for chapter chat I did, creation station fish that can fly I have tried to do my very best at this, and trying to make an overflowing, honey jar. It was very hard trying to draw it, but I think it looks pretty good. We have also finished the book! It was amazing when Ally, told Mr. Daniels that she has dyslexia. It must have been hard to say that she has dyslexia, but she showed courage, bravery and responsibility. Thats why I gave it a 9/10.

Chapter Chat Fantastic Favorite

This week for chapter chat (W6), I did creation station tiger airplane. It was a challenge but I think I handled it really well. I have tried to make an overflowing honey jar by putting a lot of, detail and effort into it. There were three other creations things I could have done. I could have done candy in front of a school, a neon sign that says Ally Nickerson or a tiger airplane and I chose the tiger airplane this is what it looks like.

Camp Highlight

On April the 8th we went to totara springs in Matamata. We did a bunch of activities and they were all so fun. One of my favourite's was the Abseil Tower. Because  I am afraid of heights but it was fun jumping around.

Camp

On Monday me and my class are going to   totara springs camp in matamata. One of the things I really want to do is crate climb. It looks really challenging but fun. there are crates you get on one by one. I am VERY excited for camp. It will be a new experience and I am afraid of heights so it will be a challenge.

Follow your heart

I was at home and my brother Taj did something bad and so I could not tell on him but then he will still be nasty or I could tell on him so I could do the right thing but then Taj will be mad so I told on him and he was pretty mad.

Trying Something New.....

When I was little I went on a Roller coaster at Rainbows End. It was very scary but I realized that I should have fun while im there so I had fun it was still scary though. I tried other rides some were soooo fun and some were scary. I went on The Log Flume, bumper carts and one I really hated was the Invader.  It looks like this:
