EGG CARTON CREATION

This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons.

I used these types of materials: Wool, Eight Googly eyes, One Pom pom, Blue paper, Sand and most importantly the egg carton.

If I could do anything differently I would make the bottom part still stuck together so I could put the sand at the bottom part of the Aquarium/Moana. So the sand did not come off at the bottom.

If I rated it out of 20 I would put a 19 and a Half! Because it was so fun and it was my favourite Whetu Challenge! I loved creating something that could have been thrown away.

I planned it out well and I think that it is very good and I am proud of what I made. I was going to put a treasure chest at the bottom but I had no time.

My Blog Challenge

This is my blog challenge! I could not get my bitmoji on but I have done the classroom and I wanted to do both. So I did both. I decided to make them as realistic as possible though the room did not look like exactly like mine. So these are my two Blog Posts!

Math's Mystery

Me and Maddie (Madeleine) we have done Math's Mystery together! We think the murderer is... is... issssss... AMELIA! We liked this challenge because it was well CHALLENGING!! It was soooo fun though. These are our clues and investigation clues.

Roll-a-Drawing

These two are my Roll-A Drawing I did three but I could only do two. I did two monster ones and one spider one. I liked the monster one the most.

My Read, Predict and WRITE!

This is my Read write and predict though I have done a lot I made it into quite a story more than a predict though I wanted to make it exciting! Sooooo I made it into an interesting story about a boy who gets bullied at school. A monster comes out and talks about it with him. This is my read, predict and write! You will need to read it to understand the prediction.

Whetu Paper Planes Challenge

Whetu Challenge - Paper Planes

Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to trial and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it.

Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be really challenging but mostly fun because I love paper planes cause there easy to work with. I thought it would be challenging because I did not really have experience with them.

I decided to use the design simple but with more folded paper. Then I had as my colouring design my name in bold and rainbow dripping down each side.

The hardest part was trying to decide which paper plane design to use. Because I did not want mine to flop.

During our competition time I managed to score I dont think I scored much or anything. I think my paper plane needed to go more slower and needed to be heavier.

Maths Mystery!

Me and Jessica have done Maths Mystery together. We worked OK together but we succeeded! We think it isssss...... RUBY! She has been stealing the pencil cases! All of there money and pencil cases have been returned. These are our clues.

Read and Predict #3

This is my third Read and Predict! I know that he might pass out or not survive because he has no water or food. This is my Read and Predict it has all the information that I think will happen.

Word Of The Week!!!

The word of the week was.... LUMINOUS! It means Bright light or Really Colourful and more. I quite liked this word of the week as I have not done it before... Me and Teana kinda worked on it together like we helped each other find out pictures and the meaning of Luminous.

My Read and Predict!!!

This is my read and predict I am still enjoying it and I still like to read!.. I am up to my 3rd book now! Anyway I did not really like how Farmer Green did not trust him as much though I did like it how he gave him a chance to work there. This is my Read and Predict. I reckon I did alright!

Blog Challenge!

This is my blog challenge for this week I liked doing this one because I did not think about it before and now I can. I enjoyed this activity! I would be 20 in ten years time. Holey Guacamole!! This is me? In ten years time?

Maths Mystery..../ My Backstory

Today I went to go have some pancakes! I had just woken up and I was hungry I had gone to the Pancake Pantry because it was the best pancake shop around! I had also "Just moved in" I went over there and they had  said the pancake pincher had struck again! I was furious!  I had called Detective Tayla (known as "Detective TK") and asked her to help me on this very special case we looked at the clues at the Pancake Pantry the pancake pincher had not just stolen the ingredients for the pancakes he had stolen my breakfast! Me and Dec. TK looked at all the messy splatters of pancake mixture on the floor and all the clues and it all adds up too....

SEB! Seb had stolen my Breakfast and Dec. TK's too! Here are our clues.

 I Kinda liked it because they gave me free pancakes for solving there crime they had also given some pancakes to Detective Tayla!

Me and Our Group Tennis Ball Tower Challenge.

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with Melissa and Xanthe because they are (sometimes good to work with) and I like working with them.

At first we had trouble with Making it stand by itself because it is very well, thin.

The easiest thing was making the main part/ the thin bit because when I had heard that we were doing this I had a plan in mind how we were going to make the main part.

The best part of our tower was the bottom because it was very strong because of it being to heavy by adding lots of newspaper.

Our tower looked like a Toilet Plunger or one of those Dynamite activators because of the Two bits at the top and the bit at the bottom.


In the end it became a huge mess it could not stand or hold a ball. I think we could have done better by rolling up more newspaper and putting it by the sides and have a nice bit at the top for the tennis ball.

The Gnome Maths Mystery...

Me and my Partner Detective. Mia and Detective Teana have figured out who culprit is... We think it is Captain Steve! We have figured out all the clues with our Secret Skills. We think it is Steve Because he is the only one that had  a Cap was Male, was Standing and was less than 30cm! He has been one naughty gnome!! This is our proof and working out:

My Pet/ Blog challenge

This is my pet I have three but I did Zias because I dont really know how to spell "Picilos" name but yeah.. This is my Pet Zias!! Though I cant do a Photo because I dont have one but I will edit it tomorrow and put her on (hopefully!!)  Though I found one that looks like her.
