Chapter Challenge Pick' n 'Mix

This Is my Chapter Challenge for this week I have done Pick'n Mix Creation Station. I really like how it has turned out especially the flying fox. I have done some information under "River Humphrey." It was challenging to make the trees out of bamboo sticks because the hot glue did not stick with them so I was proactive and got some tape to stick to them. The easiest part was drawing The people I love to draw them because then I get to use my Imagination and draw what they look like. This is my Chapter Challenge and I rate it a Supernova!

Chapter Challenge Task Creative Station.

This week for my Chapter Challenge I have done Creation station "The Scene behind the Waterfall." The easiest part was the waterfall because I have seen a waterfall before and I love waterfalls. But it was easy planning it because I had it all pictured in my head. The hardest part was how I was going to present it. Because I love to create and plan and see what I can do with my hands. But I am not good with time limits, because I try to put so much in it but it takes to long. So I drew it and tried to do my best with creating but no to much that it would take to long. Funnest bit was probably the lettering on it. It was so fun and creative and I love lettering. The boring bit was nothing! So this is my Chapter Challenge I think I did a Supernova or at least a Shooting Star!

Chapter Challenge Task Week 6.

Me and TK have done Research on the Black Bear for this weeks Chapter Challenge. We made it on a slide but then we wanted to change it and make it more fun to present so we made a Kahoot so it would be fun and cool to present. But we had to do it on one computer so it was kinda challenging. But the weird thing is that it worked out perfectly because on my computer, we searched up some more research but we put it own words, then on TK's computer we did the Kahoot so it worked out good. I think that me and TK have made a SUPERNOVA! I think that it is detailed and it is presented in a cool way. This is some of our Kahoot!

Chapter Challenge Week Two

This is my chapter Challenge for this week. I was really hoping that I could do this one because I love to right letters to people or for Chapter Challenge. I found it hard when I had to draw something down the bottom because so many people presented it with mountains or the sky or even a rose/flower. So I started thinking and I wanted to draw Francie's map to show that if she had not drawn it then I would redraw it. Another thing was that everyone had done tea bags and I wanted to be different so I drew it with brown I rubbed some of it out and ripped some of it up. The easiest part was figuring out what to say because it was only a little bit I had to wright so it was not that hard.
 here is my Chapter Challenge for this week I think that it is either a shooting star but mostly a SUPERNOVA!

First Chapter Challenge.

For my first post for Chapter Challenge I have done digital design. The part I found challenging was figuring out what way to present it there were so many options to pick from that I wanted to do but I picked newspaper because I have a lot of newspaper at home and I used to go over to my grandparents and poppa likes to read newspaper so he talk about what had happened in them so know what is in a newspaper and I thought it would be quite easy. The easiest part was knowing what to put onto the newspaper because I planned it in my head and put it on a doc. I made it on my computer, printed it and used lots of colour. I made it by myself and I am very proud.

Pepeha Star/ Whanau Star.

Over the last week I have been working on my visual pepeha. I have loved doing my visual pepeha because it is a mixture of things that I loved I love to draw, colour, Learning Maori and learning about me that I didn't even know about myself. So it was pretty easy for me because I love to do those things. I was looking at my photos on the other side of the star and started to laugh at all the pictures because my sister used to have a really big head..

I am proud of my colouring and drawing I did on my star. Because it looked really close to what my actual pepeha looks like in real life.

What I found challenging was the cutting and putting on my photos, because I had seven photos that I really wanted on my star but one couldn't fit but I trimmed it really carefully and fit all of them. Then I had to cut and I was pressured because if I cut the star I would have to give a chocolate bar to Mrs. Loft. So I got half way through and I gave it to my Mum because she is really careful and good at cutting.

First blog post

Something that I was nervous about when starting the new year at school was when I had to get all my stationary and things ready for school.

Something that has surprised me this week the cup and water activity. Because it was cold and it gave me a fright.

The activity I have enjoyed the most this week is either the Newspaper challenge or the fun water activities. Because they were about people who don't really know each other collaborating,
having fun and getting to know each other. Plus it was really fun modelling for the newspaper challenge.

A goal I have for myself this year is to be a great role model and helpful in Whetu as a year 6. Because last year when I was a year 5 I had a lot of people who were kind and helped me.


What I am most looking forward to this year is having the Year 5’s in Whetu. Because then I can make new friends.

Some people I have helped so far is Tayla and Katelyn with their blogs because they forgot how to do their avatar..

How I aim to show our NPS I CARE is to be kind and helpful to others that need it.
